Little Things That Made My Cat Drink More Water

I used to worry about my cat not drinking enough. Now I don’t. These small changes really helped out.

I moved the fountain far away from her food. Cats don’t love drinking right next to where they eat. Separating the two made such a noticeable difference.

I stopped using plastic bowls entirely and swapped everything out for stainless steel and ceramic. Cleaner, no weird lingering smells, and she actually chooses to drink from them.

I added a second water source too. One in the living room, one in the bedroom. She drinks more when water is just… there. Not something she has to hunt down.

I also stay consistent with cleaning. Sounds obvious, but a dirty fountain is worse than no fountain. I rinse it every few days and do a deep clean once a week.

None of this is complicated. It’s just small stuff. But small stuff adds up, especially when it comes to their long-term health.
